Abstract

PURPOSE:To eliminate scuffing between a rotor and a cylinder as well as to attempt the improvement in durability by providing a recess for reducing the contacting area of a cylinder with a rear side plate. CONSTITUTION:Respective long grooves 41 are engraved as recesses for reducing a contacting area on the end surfaces Sr of both short diameter sections in the rear side end surface 1b of a cylinder 1 so as to lessen the contacting area of the end surfaces Sr of the short diameter sections with the front side surface 3a of a rear side plate 3 for reducing the frictional resistance of the both surfaces. Force expanding forcively the rear side end surface of the cylinder 1 toward the radial direction is lessened. As a result, each amount of expansion toward the radial direction of the front side and the short diameter section T on the rear side of the cylinder 1 is equal so as to prevent scuffing between the cylinder 1 and a rotor 13 on the front side, thereby improving durability.
