Abstract

PURPOSE:To achieve integration and miniaturization of members, simplification of a printer, and reduction of cost, by a method wherein a liquid container, an air pump, DC power source for forming a liquid film an electrode are made common to services and a plurality of cylindrical nozzles and switch valves of compressed air necessary for printing are prepared according to resolution of printing. CONSTITUTION:A switch valve 13 is closed and opened by a recording signal. When the valve is opened, compressed air 14 rises in a cylindrical nozzle 12, and collides with a liquid film 11b formed on an opening part 12a. When a pressure difference between atmospheric pressure and a pressure in a cylindrical nozzle has been set larger than surface tension of conductive ink 11, the liquid film 11b is broken to form an ink drop 11c, which is adhered to a recording medium 19 to perform recording. When the switch valve is closed, the liquid film is formed on the opening part, and the same operation as in the case of opening is performed. It suffices to prepare respective one pieces of a liquid container 10, an air pump 15, a positive electrode 16, DC power source 17, a switch 18, and a recording medium for a plurality of cylindrical nozzles 12 and further, to prepare a plurality of cylindrical nozzles 12 and their switch valves 13, and the whole can be integrated and miniaturized.
