Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a recording medium which has excellent recording and reproducing characteristics and has excellent durability even at and under a high temp. and high humidity by depositing a fluorine-contained thermosetting resin on a thin ferromagnetic film laminated on a heat resistant nonmagnetic substrate. CONSTITUTION:The ferromagnetic film 2 as a magnetic recording layer is provided on the heat resistant substrate 1 and the layer 3 consisting of the fluorine-contained thermosetting resin is provided thereon to improve the durabil ity. The soln. prepd. by diluting an acrylic resin or epoxy resin as the fluorine- contained thermosetting resin by as much as 0.5-50mg/m<2> with a solvent or the like is deposited by a reverse roll method or the like on the ferromagnetic film. The fluorine-contained thermosetting resin 3 having excellent lubricity and low surface energy is deposited on the thin ferromagnetic film 2 on the nonmagnetic and heat resistant substrate 1 in such a manner and, therefore, the excellent recording and reproducing characteristics are exhibited. The record ing medium which has the sufficient durability and the high reliability not only in standard environment but also at and under the high temp. and high humidity is obtd.
