Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent a compressor from being damaged in advance by a method wherein an injection circuit branched from a liquid side line of a heat pump type freezing cycle is provided with an opening or closing valve in series with its throttling mechanism and its opening or closing is controlled by a control section. CONSTITUTION: A heat pump type freezing cycle 15 comprised of a rotary compressor 10, a four-way valve 11, an outdoor heat exchanger 12, an indoor heat exchanger 14 and throttling mechanisms 13a, 13b and the like is carried out such that when a cooling operation is performed, refrigerant is flowed in a direction A and in turn when a heating operation is performed, the refrigerant is flowed in a direction B. Then, after energization of the compressor 10, when a case temperature measured by a temperature sensor 25 reaches a predetermined temperature, a control valve 23 opens a solenoid valve 21 and starts an injection of refrigerant into the compressor 10 through a throttling section 22 of an injection circuit 20. After this operation, as a signal from a defrosting sensor 24 is inputted, the solenoid valve 21 is closed for a specified period of time and then a defrosting operation is carried out. In this way, a raising time for the energization operation is made fast and in turn it is possible to prevent a lubricant oil surface level from being lowered and further the compressor from being damaged.
