Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a polyaniline composite material excellent in moldability, strength, flexibility, etc., and suitable as an electrode material, a display element or a capacitor, by dispersing a powdered polyaniline in a rubber and/or a thermoplastic resin. CONSTITUTION:A powdered polyaniline is dispersed in and composited with a rubber such as a natural rubber or a synthetic rubber (e.g., styrene/butadiene rubber) and/or a thermoplastic resin (e.g., polyvinyl chloride or polystyrene) to obtain a polyaniline composite material. The obtained polyaniline composite can be molded into a molding of any desired shape, such as a sheet and its polyaniline content can be freely controlled. Because an electroconductive filler such as carbon or a metallic powder can be added to it in any desired rate, it is possible to impart thereto an electrical conductivity suitable for the purpose of use.
