Abstract

PURPOSE:To eliminate intermediate member such as a wire rope by carrying a magnetic material by means of lines of magnetic force being produced upon power supply. CONSTITUTION:A carrying device 1 comprises a magnetic field generating device, i.e. a coil 2 and a movable mechanism 3. A magnetic material to be carried is faced with the coil 2. The coil 2 is connected through a feeder wire 5 with a power source 6 which feeds current having predetermined magnitude to the coil 2 to produce lines 7 of magnetic force penetrating through closed loop of the coil 2. Consequently, attracting force is produced between the material 4 and the coil 2 and when the attracting force balances with self-weight of the material 4, the material 4 can be moved. The entire system is moved through the movable mechanism 3 under this state and carries the material 4 to a predetermined position.
