Abstract
PURPOSE:To decrease the number of parts by decreasing the impedance at one end of the X-Y matrix electrode of a flat plate display panel with respect to an AC component. CONSTITUTION:A dielectric member is formed by vapor deposition or coating on display electrodes in the entire part at one end of the display electrodes of the flat plate display panel 100 and a conductive film of the lower impedance is formed in a manner as to come into contact with only the dielectric member 1004 to constitute one contact with the electrodes. Namely, the X transparent electrodes 11 constitute the respectively independent contacts at one end and since the single contact is formed at one end via the dielectric member 1004, the contacts between both ends and the transparent electrode are insulated of DC and the same holds true of the Y transparent electrodes. The number of parts such as drivers is thereby decreased and the assembly to connect terminals to each other is facilitated.
