Abstract
PURPOSE:To quantitatively set a passing resistance value by providing a mechanism wherein the detection pin of an internal cylinder enters and exists from a groove at a position relative with an external cylinder. CONSTITUTION:When abnormality of the groove shape of a spacer is detected, the one-side standards for permissible size as to the width of the groove, the diameter of the groove bottom, and the position of the groove are determined first according to the diameter of the tip part of the detection pin, the length of the detection pin, the arrangement of the detection pin of the internal cylinder respectively. For example, when the groove size is smaller than the set standard, such an accident that an optical fiber put in the groove is broken occurs and the depth of the groove is tested by using an external diameter measuring instrument and an inspecting device for a spacer together. Therefore, a position sensor 10 or detection position sensor 39 detects groove size exceeding the prescribed standard in the form of excessive sliding resistance between the detection pin 1 and the groove 201 of the spacer. The tip of the detection pin 1 released from the groove 201 is positioned outside the internal surface of the internal cylinder 2 and the internal diameter of the internal cylinder 2 is set larger than the maximum diameter of groove abnormality which is caused normally, thereby manufacturing the practical spacer.
