Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain the subject fabric-conditioning composition that can be extremely well dispersed in a specific form in water and has high softening properties by formulating an electrolyte to a dilute dispersion including a cationic woven fabric conditioner and separating the cream formed by mixing. CONSTITUTION: A cationic woven fabric conditioner bearing two alkyl groups or alkenyl groups of 15-22 carbon atoms (for example, amide-amine derivative or the like) is dissolved in an organic solvent miscible to water, for example, an alcohol, then added to water containing electrolyte (for example, alkali metal or ammonium salt, calcium chloride or the like), the mixture is allowed to stand, then the movable creamy product is centrifuged. The creamy composition contains a high concentration of the cationic woven fabric-conditioner, forms a high-concentration woven fabric conditioner, is well dispersible in water in the form of small spheres with optical anisotropy and has excellent woven fabric-softening properties.
