Abstract

PURPOSE:To attain sufficient response to fading by sampling and holding each output of logarithmic detection sections in a different sample timing, decoding it into a consecutive value of each branch, and outputting the result to a comparison section. CONSTITUTION:Sample-and-hold circuits 8a, 8b use a sample pulse DSa set at the latter half of an IF switching pulse TS and a sample pulse DSb set in the latter half of an inverse IF switching pulse TS alternately, the output of a DC amplifier 32 is sampled by switches SW3, SW4, the voltage is held by capacitors C1, C2 in case of the holding to decode the result into a consecutive output of each branch. Thus, even when one logarithmic detection section 3 is used in time division, the rise of decoding of an envelope detection signal from the sampling system to the continuous system is quickened, the fast fading is replied sufficiently and the interruption without time delay is detected.
