Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve stability of emulsion polymerization and mechanical stability of produced emulsion, by preparing an emulsifying agent usable in hydrophilic resin dispersion from a mixture of two kinds of alkylene oxide addition products represented by specific general formulas. CONSTITUTION:An emulsifying agent useable in hydrophilic resin dispersion is prepared from a mixture of compounds represented by the formula I and II (R1: a C 3-18 alkyl group, alkenyl group, aralkyl group, R2: H, C 3-18 alkyl group, alkenyl group, aralkyl group, R3: H, methyl group, A: a C 2-4 alkylene group, n: integer 0-100, m: integer 1-200, M: alkali metal atom, NH4, Alkanol amine residue, H). Watery resin dispersions which is obtained by application of this emulsifying agent can be applied e.g. as adhesive, coating materials, to wood, metal, paper, cloth, etc.
