Abstract

PURPOSE:To transmit the deformation of a hub through a contact part to a magnetic disk and to completely prevent the decentering and position dislocation of the magnetic disk by interposing an elastic material for absorption of deformation between the hub and a disk clamp. CONSTITUTION:An elastic material 2 for absorption of the deformation of the hub is inserted between a hub 4 and a disk clamp 8. Thus, when the hub 4 of a spindle motor 7 is deformed by a temperature change, the deformation of a hub outer circumference surface is absorbed by the deformation of the elastic material 2 and it is not transmitted to a magnetic disk 1. For an example that the hub 4 is deformed by the temperature change of a magnetic disk device, even in any cases, since the elastic material 2 is deformed in correspondence to the deformation of the hub 4, the deformation of the outer circumference surface of the hub 4 is absorbed and the magnetic disk is not decentered. Thus, the decentering and position dislocation of the magnetic disk, which is generated by the deformation of the hub of the spindle motor, can be prevented without fail.
