Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent vibration of a rotor so as to eliminate squealing of a brake by forming a gap in the interior of a pad sliding portion of the rotor to uniform rigidity of the rotor in the turning direction. CONSTITUTION:A gap 7 comprising a V-shaped opening 7a is formed on a radial (r) portion of a pad sliding portion 1a following a mount portion 2 of a rotor 1. Therefore, rigidity of the rotor 1 is made uniform in the turning direction and frictional force among the rotor 1, each portion of turning direction and a pad is made uniform, so that vibration caused by ununiformity in rigidity does not occur in the surface of the rotor 1. Accordingly, no squealing of a brake is caused by such vibration.
