Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable to simply and cheaply prevent the separation of a lining from a backmetal by a structure wherein a plurality of projections are provided over the surface of the backmetal in the disc brake pad comprising the backmetal, on the surface of which the lining is affixed. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of the projections 4 are, for example, embossed by means of an embossing press over the surface 1a of the backmetal 1, to which the lining 3 is affixed. The lining 3 is, for example, molded on the surface 1a of the backmetal 1 by imbedding the projections 4 under the lining 3. Owing to the structure as mentioned above, the projections 4 on the surface 1a of the backmetal 1 is engaged with the cavities 3a on the back surface of the lining 3, resulting in eliminating the separation of the adhered surface of the backmetal 1 and the lining 3 even if the shearing force is applied on the adhered surface of the backmetal 1 and the lining 3.
