Abstract

PURPOSE: To enhance the stability and durability of pavement by a method wherein a normal-temperature-mixed pavement material comprising aggregate, a bituminous material as a binder and a resin-like substance to be melted by heating in a short time is laid and leveled and then subjected to surface heating so that the resin-like substance be melted. CONSTITUTION: After a resin-like substance to be melted by heating in a short time is mixed in aggregate 1 and agitated, a bituminous material obtained by adding heavy oil or kerosene for viscosity regulation to asphalt is added to and dispersed uniformly in the mixture and a material thus obtained is laid and leveled on a base layer. Then, the resin-like substance 2 and the bituminous material 3 are integrated by surface heating to be turned into an asphalt resin binder 4. By this method, pieces of the aggregate 1 are made to adhere to each other more firmly and the stability and durability of pavement can be enhanced.
