Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a small type capacitor having a large capacitance by a method wherein an internal electrode consisting of a porous metal is printed on one side of a semiconductor ceramic layer on which an insulating layer is formed on a crystal grain boundary, and after a plurality of said internal electrodes have been laminated, the internal electrode is alternately connected to a pair of external electrodes. CONSTITUTION:A platinum paste layer 2, one end of which reaches the end part and other end does not reach the end part, is coated on one side of a green sheet 1 of the prescribed shape consisting of the barium titanate having SrTiO3 as the main ingredient, and the platinum paste layer is dried up. Then, a sheet 1 is stacked successively until the desired electrostatic capacitance is obtained while the end part position of said paste layer is being made in parallel with each other. The obtained compressed material 3 is sintered in a reducing atmosphere containing hydrogen, and platinum is infiltrated into the cavity formed in the sheet 1. Through the above-mentioned procedures, a capacitor 9 on which a semiconductor ceramic layer 4 and a porous metal 5 are laminated is obtained, and an internal electrode 7 consisting of a metal layer 5 is connected to the external electrode 8 provided on both sides of the laminated body.
