Abstract
PURPOSE:To form an efficient vector instruction string, by forming a data information table collecting data flow information and induction variables, detecting all the induction variables and executing optimum processing. CONSTITUTION:In compiler processing, a syntax analyzing part 13 converts a FORTRAN source program 14 into a 1st intermediate language 16. Then, an intermediate part 15 inputs the language 16 and forms the data information table 17 collecting data flow information and induction variables. All the induction variables are detected through the table 17, optimizing processing such as vectorizing and paralleling processing is executed to convert the language 16 into a 2nd intermediate language 18. A main storage allocating part 19 allocate main storage to the variables and a code forming part 20 forms an object code 21. When array subscript analyzing information is used for the vectorizing processing of the induction variables, a vector instruction of index updating can be deleted and a highly efficient object program can be obtained.
