Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve economic efficiency, by making an internal code table and a code generator common to various high-class languages, in a compiler interpreting a source program into an object program. CONSTITUTION:When a FORTRAN source program or PL/I source program B is inputted, processings such as interpretation of characters, analysis of sentence construction and analysis of significance are made at exclusive processing sections 2a and 2b for each language. In this case, each processing receives and transmits signals suitably from and to a common internal code table 2c for common use in each language wih code objective. Further, the common internal code obtained via the processing sections 2a and 2b is converted into an object code C at a common code generator 2d to be outputted.
