Abstract
PURPOSE:To reduce the abrasion of thread type grooves and rotary bodies by providing a control means for expanding/contracting a piezoelectric actuator in the axial direction of nut members so as to release the increase in axial load between each of thread type grooves and the rotary bodies accompanying the rise in the rotating speed of a driving means. CONSTITUTION:A screw member 13 is rotated in the desired direction by means of a motor 12 to move a feed table 19 together with nut members 14, 15 in the desired direction. At this time, when the rotating speed of the motor 12 is gradually increased, a controller 22 gradually contracts a laminated type piezoelectric actuator 16 in the axial direction making both nut members 14, 15 mutually approach, thereby, gradually reducing the pre-load (f) between each of thread type grooves 13a, 14a, 15a and balls 17, 17.... On the other hand, when the rotating speed of the motor 12 is gradually reduced, contrarily, the controller 22 gradually expands the actuator 16 in the axial direction to gradually increase the pre-load (f). Thereby, the abrasion between each of the thread type grooves 13a-15a and the balls 17 can be reduced at the time of the high speed rotation of the screw member 13.
