Abstract
PURPOSE:To enhance the adhesive power of an adhesive agent so that the stripping or discoloration of an optical recording and reproducing card is prevented and the card is stabilized for a long period of time by previously forming ruggedness on the surface of a base material at the time of providing a recording layer via the adhesive agent on the base material and forming the above-mentioned card. CONSTITUTION:The rectangular ruggedness 12a is formed on one face of the base material 12 consisting of plastic. The adhesive layer 13 consisting of a thermoplastic resin, the recording layer 14 consisting of a reflective thin metallic film of Te or the like, a photomask 15 on which synchronizing signals and track addresses are previously recorded and a laminated sheet 16 are laminated in this order on said ruggedness. Information is thereafter recorded on the recording layer 14 by projecting a recording beam to this card from the laminated sheet 16 side and the recorded information is reflected by the projection of a reproducing beam to read the information from the difference in the quantity of the reflected light. The relation between the height of the rectangular ruggedness 12a on the surface of the substrate 12, designated as (h), and the max. thickness of the adhesive layer 13, designated as P, is specified to P>=h to increase the adhesive area of the base material 12 and the adhesive layer 13, by which the striping is prevented.
