A developer is prepd. by kneading the white electroconductive particles in a toner, and/or by adding the white electroconductive particles to the toner and carrier at the same time of mixing the toner with the carrier. A picture image having high picture image density, satisfactory uniformity of solid part, providing conscientiously printed matters to a copy without causing edge effect is obtd. by adding fine powder of the white electroconductive material to a developer and controlling the quality of electric charge by controlling the resistance of a toner and/or a developer appropriately.
