Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve desilvering characteristic of a silver halide color photographic sensitive material by inhibiting presence of sulfite ions in a color developing soln. but incorporating bromide ions and/or iodide ions in a bleach-fix soln. CONSTITUTION:Presence of sulfite ions in a color developing soln. is inhibited substantially, but 1X10<-2>-2mol./l bromide ions and/or 5X10<-4>-5X10<-2>mol./l iodide ions are incorporated into a bleach-fix soln. When the concn. of the bromide ion is <1X10<-2>mol./l bleach-fix soln., sufficient bleach-fix accelerating effect is not attained, so undesirable desilvering may result from the view point of decreasing residual Ag. When the concn. exceeds 2mol. defect of fixing may result. When the concn. of iodide ion is <5X10<-4>mol./l, decrease of residual silver is undesirable. When the concn. exceeds 5X10<-2>mol./l, undesirable desilvering effect may cause. By the above described process, desilvering characteristic of a silver halide photographic sensitive material is improved.
