Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce heat loss and prevent after-boiling from occuring by a method wherein in a hot water supplier using a plate type heat exchanger a control valve for the supply amount of hot medium is controlled by the output of a heat sensitive member placed in a hot water supply pipe and a bypass part for the heat medium is formed at the periphery of the set part for the heat sensitive member of the hot water supply pipe. CONSTITUTION:When an outlet plug 15 for hot water supply is closed, the flow of the hot supply water is stopped and the heat exchange at a plate type heat exchanger 10 is not carried out. Heat medium in the same temp. as the inlet temp. of the heat medium exists in a return pipe 13 for the heat medium. This high temp. heat medium is sent to a bypass part 18 for the heat medium placed at the periphery of a set part for a heat sensitive member 17 to heat up the hot water supply water in a hot water supply pipe 14 and the member 17 is heated up to a higher temp. than set temp. A control valve 16 for the supply amount of the heat medium is rapidly closed fully. By this constitution heat loss can be reduced and the generation of after-boiling can be prevented.
