Abstract
PURPOSE: To absorb fluctuations in load with a bypass passage by comparing the evaporation quantity of a boiler with a mean of steam loads obtained from changes in the level and gradient of an internal pressure of a steam accumulator to open or close a flow valve of the accumulator according to a difference therebetween. CONSTITUTION: Steam from a boiler 1 is sent to a steam turbine 2 to drive a power generator 5 and then, supplied to equipment 3 using process steam. An eccess of the steam flows into a steam accumulator 11 of a bypass passage 10 to be stored as hot water. The internal pressure of the steam accumulator 11 is detected by a pressure detector 20 to determine a steam load mean FAV with an arithmetic device 21 from the level and gradient thereof so that the evaporation quantity FB of the boiler 1 is controlled following the steam load mean FAV as set value. A flow rate controller 18 compares the evaporation quantity FB with the steam load mean FAV to selectively open or close flow valves 16 and 17 of the accumulator 11 based on a difference therebetween thereby absorbing fluctuations in load.
