Abstract
PURPOSE:To contrive higher rubbing resistance, by firstly transferring a heat- adhesive thermal transfer recording layer provided on a transparent base onto a first transfer recording material, and then adhering the transparent base inclusive of the transfer part onto a second transfer recording material. CONSTITUTION:A heat-adhesive thermal transfer recording layer 22 comprising a coloring material, a heat-fusible substance and a thermoplastic resin is provided on a transparent base 23 constituted of a film of a highly heat-resistant resin such as polyethylene terephthalate and having a thickness of 1-15mum to produce a thermal recording medium. By use of the thermal recording medium, a transfer pattern 24 such as a bar code is transferred onto a first transfer recording material, and then the heat-adhesive thermal transfer recording layer 22 inclusive of a reversed transfer pattern thus formed is opposed to a second transfer recording material 21, followed by heating to adhere the base 23 to the material 21 through the reversed transfer pattern 22. Thus, it is possible to enhance rubbing resistance and to simultaneously form a transfer stub (first transfer recording material).
