Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable a predetermined phrase in common use to be easily printed at a designated position, by providing a printing controlling means for such a control as to print a phrase corresponding to a stored phrase number when the printing position reaches a printing position corresponding to printing posi tion data stored in a memory. CONSTITUTION:After a printing paper is set, the printing position is adjusted to an initial position, and in this condition, a position call key is depressed, whereby printing position data stored in a printing position data 9 is called by a calling means 11 in the order of registration. A printing position moving means 2 and a paper-feeding means 3 are controlled by a printing controlling means 5 until the printing position reaches a printing position corresponding to the printing position data thus called. Next, it is judged whether a phrase number is registered in correspondence with the printing position by a registering means 13. When the phrase number is registered, a phrase correspond ing to the phrase number is called from a memory 6 by a calling means 8, and the called phrase (commonly used phrase) is printed on the printing paper by a printing means 1.
