PURPOSE:To miniaturize a whole constitution and to make it suitable to the recording of a high frequency signal, by providing a special slider at the position opposite to an objective lens and mounting a coil for impressing a magnetic field to impress a magnetic field to a disk at the slider. CONSTITUTION:A magneto-optical head 20 is composed of an objective lens 30, a coil 31 for impressing a magnetic field, etc., and the objective lens 30 is fixed to a cylinder 32.
