Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a perhydro compound, by reducing alpha-[5-oxo-4,5,6,7- tetrahydro-2-(2-thienyl)-6(R)-triphenylme-thylamino-1,4-thiazepin-4-yl ]acetic acid t-butyl ester, etc. CONSTITUTION:The objective compound can be produced by reacting a compound of formula I (R<1> is aryl or heterocyclic group; R<2> is protective group for carboxyl group; R<4> is protective group for amino group) with an oxidizing agent (e.g. t-butyl hypochlorite) in a proper solvent at -80-+100 deg.C for 30min-a whole day and night, reducing the obtained compound of formula II with Mg preferably in methanol at 20-30 deg.C and, as necessary, eliminating the protective group of the amino group from the resultant compound of formula III. The objective compound such as the compound of formula III is useful as an intermediate for hypotensive agent.
