Abstract
PURPOSE:To manufacture a metallurgically diffusion-joined composite material reduced in electric resistance, by combining Ti, Al, and Cu or Cu alloy in order, forming the above into a three-layer structure by means of cold working, and then applying heat treatment to the above under specific conditions. CONSTITUTION:Ti, Al, and Cu or Cu alloy materials are combined in this order into a state of sheet, tube, or bar, which is subjected to cold rolling or cold reduction working so as to be formed into a three-layer structure. Subsequently, heating treatment is applied to the above at 600-1,000 deg.C for 1-600min, by which a diffusion layer is formed at least between Ti and Al or Al and Cu or Cu alloy. By this method, the metallic composite material reduced in electric resistance and suitable for an electric current-introducing body in electrolysis, plating, etc., can be obtained.
