Abstract

PURPOSE: To extend life and improve reliability of a contact point by attaching movable twin contact points to a contact plate attachment plate made of a temperature sensing element which deforms according to temperatures and setting the direction of deformation of the attachment plate at high temperatures in the direction to increase the pressure between a fixed contact point and the movable contact point.
CONSTITUTION: Twin contact points 4, 5 are attached via a contact point attachment plate 7 made of a temperature sensing element which deforms according to temperatures such as for example bimetal to a movable contact point spring 6. While the contact plate attachment plate 7 is flat at normal temperatures, it deflects at high temperatures in the direction to increase contact pressure between a fixed contact point 2 and movable twin contact points 4, 5. Under a high temperature of 100°C for example, the contact point attachment plate 7 deflects toward the fixed contact point 2 side to increase the contact point pressure under a closed contact point condition. Positions of contacts between contact points at normal and high temperatures also shift. Constituting in this way, damaged portions on the contact point are dispersed to extend life and to improve reliability.
