Abstract

A pulse voltage V0 is applied to the scanning electrodes of the n-th row for an H period with a horizontal synchronizing signal and a pulse voltage V1 is applied to the data-side electrodes of the n-th column, so that the discharge cells ((n) rows and (n) columns) are discharged with the voltage V0 +V1 .
