Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain uniform picture quality on the entire screen by providing the 1st and 2nd voltage generating circuits generating respectively a voltage of a parabolic waveform synchronously with horizontal deflection and vertical deflection, an adder circuit adding the output voltage and a drive circuit dividing the added output to supply the result to the 2nd grid. CONSTITUTION:Voltage generating circuits 1, 2 generate a parabolic waveform voltage whose voltage is increased toward the circumference of the screen synchronously with horizontal deflection and vertical deflection. An adder circuit 3 adds voltages outputted from the circuits 1, 2. The added output is fed to a drive circuit 6 via an amplifier circuit 4. The circuit 6 divides the output of the circuit 4 to give the resulting voltage to the 2nd grid G2 controlling the spot diameter and brightness. Thus, the spot diameter is reduced as the beam goes to the circumference part and the brightness is increased.
