Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve suction and exhaust efficiency by disposing cylinders on an intake port and an exhaust port of the head portion of a combustion chamber and rotating the respective cylinders with a period half that of a crankshaft. CONSTITUTION:An intake cylinder 1 and an exhaust cylinder 2 are respectively disposed adjacent to an intake port 13 and an exhaust port 14 of the head portion of a combustion chamber 11. The intake cylinder 1 and the exhaust cylinder 2 are respectively brought into contact with an intake pipe 5 and an exhaust pipe 6. The respective cylinders 1, 2 are rotated with a period half that of a crankshaft to open and close the intake port 13 and the exhaust port 14. In this arrangement, ventilation resistance can be reduced to improve intake and suction efficiency.
