Abstract
PURPOSE:To simplify the control of draft, trim and heel by partitioning an airtight area in a column, with its lower surface opened, for forming the floating body of a semisubmerged type marine construction on whose upper part a deck structure is formed and adjusting an air volume in this airtight area. CONSTITUTION:A column 2 on whose lower surface an opening 7 is provided, is arranged below the deck structure 1 of a semisubmerged type marine construction and a ship bottom valve unshown in the figure is provided in the opening 7 of this column 2. In the inner part of the column 2, an upper part above a water surface 4 is partitioned as an airtight space 6, and an exhaust pipe 8 and an intake pipe 9 are provided in this airtight area 6. The exhaust pipe 8 is released to the atmosphere through an electromagnetic air adjusting valve 10 and the intake pipe 9 is connected to an air tank 16 through an electromagnetic air adjusting valve 11. When an air pressure in the air tank 16 is less than a set pressure, an air compressor 13 automatically operates and control so that a compressed air can be supplied in the air tank. Each valve 10, 11 is opened or closed so that a pressure in the airtight area 6 in response to a wave can be maintained nearly constant.
