Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent paper jamming by directly returning copying paper which should be returned to a resupplying means with the action of a returning control member on an upstream side. CONSTITUTION:The copying paper which should be returned through a returning path is directly returned to the resupplying means 104 with the action of the returning control members 168 and 178. When it is difficult to return the copying paper to the resupply means 104 with the action of the returning control members 168 and 178 because the copying paper is received in the resupply means 104 too much, the returning control member on the upstream side which positions on the upper side of the returning control members 168 and 178 is switched from a guiding position to a non-guiding position. Thereafter, the copying paper returned through the returning path is directly returned to the resupply means 104 with the action of the returning control member on the upstream side. Thus, the copying paper returned through the returning path for copying paper can be guided to the resupply means 104 even when comparatively many sheets of copying paper is received in the copying paper resupply means 104.
