Abstract
PURPOSE:To make it possible to set a phase-shifting angle as desired by the apparatus low in manufacturing cost, compact in size and high in accuracy, by pulse-modulating a voltage signal, latching the signal based on a control pulse which is obtained by successively multiplying the frequency, and multiplying the output signal which is phase-shifted predetermined angles with a current signal. CONSTITUTION:A voltage signal A is modulated in pulse-width by a voltage pulse-width modulation circuit 12 to be a pulse signal B which is then latched by a latch circuit 14 based on a control signal S having the frequency f as much as M times the signal S from a successive multiplication circuit 13. The control signal S is counted up until f/4 by a counter 16. An output of the circuit 14 is written in a RAM 17, with the above-counted value being an address. When the counter 16 is reset and returned to be 1, the signal is outputted from the RAM 17 to a latch circuit 18, thereby updating the content of the RAM 17. Accordingly, a pulse B' having its phase shifted by pi/2 with respect to the pulse B is generated in the circuit 18. The pulse signal B' is then multiplied with a current signal C via a multiplication circuit 19 to a voltage frequency conversion circuit 20 from which a pulse proportional to a reactive power is outputted to a counter 21. As described above, pi/2 or any desired phase-shifting angles can be set with high accuracy.
