Abstract

PURPOSE: To equalize the quantity of oil of plural compressors, and elongate the life of the compressor, and improve the reliability, by interposing an opening and closing valve in the recovery pipe connected to the bottom of an oil separator, and controlling the opening and closing valve, according to the operation state, and equalizing the quantity of oil of each compressor. CONSTITUTION: At operation of two compressors, the operation frequency of a compressor 1a is changing. For example, in case that such operation where the operation frequency of the compressor 1a is higher than the operation frequency of a compressor 1b continues for a specified time, the oil level of the compressor 1a drops, but an opening and closing valve 19 is closed within an oil separator 2, so oil is collected to the level of the upper recovery pipe 18. Oil is returned to the compressor 1a low in oil level to equalize the oil level, by opening the opening and closing valve 19. The compressor 1a is stopped temporarily, and the single operation of the compressor 1a is performed, and simultaneously the opening and closing valve 19 is opened, whereupon the oil within the oil separator 2 enters an accumulator 7, passing through a pipe 13, and the all quantity of oil within the separator 2 returns to the compressor 1a from the small hole 24 of the suction pipe 11a.
