Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable respective required motions of a printer head and a pinch roller to be performed by one action, by a cam which elevates a printer head up or otherwise lowers it down is so formed as to be able to operate a pinch roller. CONSTITUTION:A cam 21 fit to a rotary axis 3 of a platen roller 2 is rotated only in one direction with a clutch 5. When an image is printed, printing is performed under a state where a first position 22 of the cam 21 has come to a position of a working part 6. When a photographic printing paper moves reversely, a second position 25 thereof comes to the position of the working part 6, and a printer head 1 is separated. Since a pinch roller 7 presses the photographic printing paper onto the platen roller 2, marring, shifting, etc. of the photographic printing paper do not occur. Since the photographic printing paper is taken out or exchanged under a state where a third position 26 has come to the position of the working par 6 and both the printer head 1 and the pinch roller have gaps between them and the platen roller 2, there is no trouble for taking out or exchanging the photographic printing paper.
