Abstract

PURPOSE:To simply and inexpensively perform the processing of a ceramic green sheet with high accuracy, by processing the ceramic green sheet on a moving table moving in an X-Y direction using rotary circular blade movable up and down. CONSTITUTION:A ceramic raw sheet 1 is fixed to a moving table 2 arbitrarily moving in an X-Y direction and a processing tool 5 having a rotary circular blade 3 composed of an abrasion resistant material and the support material 4 holding the same is arranged above the moving table 2. The processing tool 5 operates up and down as a whole and has a mechanism capable of fixing the lower dead point position. The distance between the leading end (lowermost end) of the circular blade 3 and the ceramic raw sheet 1 becomes always constant even when the moving table 2 moves and, when a snap line is formed to the ceramic raw sheet 1, the depth of the groove thereof becomes constant. The processing positioning of the ceramic raw sheet 1 is performed by the moving table 2 while the processing tool 5 is moved downwardly to fix the lower dead point position and processing such as the cutting of the ceramic raw sheet 1 or the formation of the snap line is performed by rotating the circular blade 3 of the processing tool 5.
