Abstract
PURPOSE:To increase the adhered area of catalysts and simplify the preparing process by overlapping a plane plate and a corrugated plate material alternately and winding up, forming a honeycomb type carrier main body and restraining the outer surface of the main body by a restraint means. CONSTITUTION:A belt-shaped plane plate material 1 and a belt-shaped corrugated plate material 2 in a given form with recessed and projected sections and formed continuously with curves and bendings are provided. Said plane plate material 1 and corrugated material 2 are overlapped alternately and wound up to make honeycomb shape and form a carrier main body 3 constituted of catalysts affixed to a number of inner surfaces. The outer surface of said main body 3 is restrained by a restraint means 4 and retain the winding up state of the main body 3. As a result, the affixed area of the catalysts can be enlarged and the preparing process can be simplified.
