Abstract
PURPOSE:To eliminate malfunction due to external noise by relating the operation or nonoperation of a touch switch to a fact whether or not a static capacitance enters the touch plate thereby eliminating the effect of the operating environment and eliminating the need for adjustment attended with the environmental change. CONSTITUTION:An input of the 1st signal propagation circuit 2 is connected to a signal wave input and the signal propagation output of the DC impedance 3 constituting the signal propagation circuit 2 is connected to the touch plate 1. A 2nd signal propagation circuit 5 outputs an electric signal wave in phase with that of the output signal of the circuit 2 when the touch plate 1 is not brought into contact. Without any contact to the touch plate 1, the output signals from the signal propagation circuits 2, 5 are given to a phase difference detection circuit 7 in phase and a signal representing noncontact is outputted from the phase difference detection circuit 7. If the touch plate 1 is brought into contact, a static capacitance is given and the retarded electric signal wave is outputted from the signal propagation circuit 2. Thus, a phase difference appears between two input electric signal waves of the phase difference detection circuit 7 and a signal representing the operating state of the touch switch is outputted from the detection circuit 7.
