Abstract
PURPOSE:To make a switch circuit capable of easily turning on and off the current in a superconducting circuit (c) by a method wherein the superconducting circuit is composed of a means switching a current from the superconducting state (a) to the normal conducting state (b) or vice versa in a part of the superconducting circuit connected in series to said circuit and an auxiliary switch circuit (d) connected in parallel with the main circuit switch. CONSTITUTION:The title superconducting switch circuit is composed of a means switching a current from the superconducting state to the normal conducting state or vice versa in a part of the superconducting circuit, a main circuit switch 2 inserted in series into said circuit and an auxiliary switch 3 connected in parallel with the main circuit switch 2. For example, in order to turn off the current running in the superconducting circuit, firstly, the auxiliary switch 3 is turned on at the time t1. Next, the power supply switch 1 of a magnetic field generating coil is turned on to supply the current at the time t2. At this time, if the current running in the coil is increased to enlarge the magnetic field generated around the superconducting circuit, a superconductor diminishes its property as the superconductor at a value exceeding the specified threshold value to be changed into a normal conductor. Later, the main circuit switch 2 is turned off at the time t3 and finally the auxiliary switch 3 is turned off at the time t4.
