Abstract

PURPOSE:To enhance efficiency in removing burrs and increase the surface roughness by installing a brushes made of an insulating material at a cylindrical electrode mating with the processing surface of a work, supplying electrolyte, and impressing pulse current under rotation. CONSTITUTION:A brush 21 made of insulating material is mounted at the periphery of a processing electrode 8 in the form of a cylinder, and electrolyte introduced into the hollow is jetted out of small holes 22, 24. This processing electrode 8 is inserted in a workpiece 3 set on a base 2, and electrolyte is supplied while the brush 21 is put in contact with the inner surface of the workpiece 3 and rotated. Pulse current from a pulse power supply 17 is impressed between electrodes 4, 8, and burrs 3a at a hole 31 are dissolved and removed. Thus effective burr removing is performed, and at the same time, brushing is made to lead to increase of surface roughness to a great extent.
