Abstract

PURPOSE:To eliminate the effect of high temperature heat on adjusting resistors and to make it possible to maintain highly accurate resistance values, by leading out the adjusting resistors for calibration through lead wires having connectors. CONSTITUTION:A driving circuit part 11 of an air-fuel ratio detector 10 is enclosed in a case 12 housing a circuit board, in which an engine controlling microcomputer for an automobile is built in. Adjusting resistors R2 and R5 are provided in order to absorb dispersion in zirconia electrolyte 1 in the air-fuel ratio detector 10. The adjusting resistors R2 and R5 are connected through lead wires L1, L2 and L3, connectors 13 and 14, lead wires L8, L9 and L10 and a connector 15. The lead wires L1, L2 and L3 are led out of the driving circuit 11. The connector 15 is coupled and connected to the outer cabinet of an adjusting resistor assembly 16, wherein the adjusting resistors R2 and R5 are accommodated in detachable male connectors. Since there is no effect of heat conduction through the air-fuel ratio detector 10 and its lead wires at the attaching part of the adjusting resistor assembly 16, the adjusting resistor assembly 16 can be used in the range of its heat resistance.
