Abstract

PURPOSE:To miniaturize a liquid fuel combustor by drilling multiple primary combustion air inlet holes in the side wall of the primary combustion air passage to which the nozzle end for ejecting vapor gas is inserted. CONSTITUTION:The end of a nozzle 13 for ejecting vaporized fuel into a part of a vaporizer is inserted into the primary combustion air passage 14, and the side wall of the passage 14 is drilled with a plurality of primary combustion air inlet holes 21. The liquid fuel is supplied to a vaporizer 12 wherein it is turned into vaporized gas, which is then ejected from the nozzle 13 to enter a mixing part 15 from an inlet 16. Meanwhile, part of combustion air passes through the primary combustion air passage 14 to enter into the mixing part 15 from the inlet 16 to mix with the vaporized gas, and the mixture is ejected into the combustion chamber 26 to be ignited and burnt. Since the primary combustion air enters the primary combustion air passage 14 from a plurality of primary combustion air inlet holes 21, the uneven flow or quantity is smoothed or balanced to become a uniform primary combustion air flow entering the mixing part 15 relative to the vapor gas ejected from the nozzle 13, thereby improving the efficiency of mixing. Therefore, the mixing part 15 and the primary combustion air passage 14 can be made compact.
