Abstract

PURPOSE:To solve a problem of water stagnation in a crank chamber to prevent the deterioration of lubricating oil by supplying cooling water into a combustion chamber only during a scavenging stroke so as to supply the water together with scavenging air into the combustion chamber. CONSTITUTION:A two cycle engine 1 is constituted so that the water stored in a tank 8 is sucked out by a water pump 10 via a water guide pipe 9 and supplied from a water injecting nozzle 11 into a combustion chamber. In this instance, the water injecting nozzle 11 is disposed toward the lower stream side in a scavenging path 5 communicating from a crank chamber 4 to a scavenging port 2. And a means 14 for detecting the rotating phase of a crank shaft 13 is attached in order that the pump 10 is controlled by means of an electric control circuit 12 on the basis of the detected signal from the means 14 and water is supplied from the water injecting nozzle 11 into the combustion chamber only during an engine scavenging stroke. Thus, the water is supplied into the combustion chamber together with the scavenging air, so that the problem of the water stagnation the crank chamber 4 is eliminated.
