Abstract
PURPOSE:To make it possible to speedily correct scatter of resistance values and attain higher productivity and yield, by combining a means for lowering resistance and a means for raising resistance through applying a plused voltage. CONSTITUTION:After a heat accumulating layer is provided on a ceramic substrate, conductor electrodes are provided by screen printing end firing. Next, resistors are provided by screen printing and firing, and a protective layer is provided. Thereafter, the substrate is brought into contact with a probe, and resistance measurement is carried out for all of the resistors. The resistance values of the resistors ordinarily show an about + or -20% scatter, and a target resistance is set based on the measurement data. After the target resistance is set, the resistance of each individual heat generating resistor is compared with the target resistance, and a pulsed voltage having a pulse width, a period and a voltage according to a correction quantity is applied to the resistor, thereby correcting the resistance of the resistor to the target resistance. The application of the voltage is conducted alternately with the measurement of the resistance, the resistance is varied from an initial value, and the application of the voltage is stopped when the resistance is brought to the target resistance.
