Abstract

PURPOSE:To increase the strength of inorg. building material contg. cement, silica, (fine)aggregate and reinforcing fiber other than asbestos, by adding metal salt having the action increasing the solubility of Ca in the cement component when the inorg. building material is produced. CONSTITUTION:The metal salt having the action increasing the solubility of Ca in the cement component (e.g. BaCl2, NaCl) is added by 0.5-2wt.% to the cement blended composition consisting of cement, silica, fine aggregate and reinforcing fiber other than asbestos (e.g. glass fiber), and mixed uniformly. Thereafter, the mixture is formed to obtain the inorg. building material. Thereby, the solubility of calcium in the cement component is increased and the reactivity of the calcium component can be increased. Therefore, the inorg. building material having high strength can be produced without using asbestos which becomes a cause of environmental pollution.
