Abstract
PURPOSE:To produce the titled tile which is excellent in strength, thermal shock resistance, thermal insulating properties and lightweight properties by allowing the upper side of the molded body of the raw material for foam glass stock to be applied with a solubilizing agent via a specified intermediate layer material, heating and foaming the intermediate layer material and the raw material for foam glass stock. CONSTITUTION:A molded body 10 is obtained by molding the powdery raw material for foam glass stock contg. both natural vitreous mineral such as 'KOKASEKI' (volcanic leva) and rhyolite and prescribed amount of a foaming agent (e.g. SiC). Then an intermediate layer material 12 which consists of natural vitreous mineral as a main material and contains the foaming agent (5-60wt.% of the foaming agent in the raw material for stock) of amount less than the raw material for foam glass stock is laminated on the upper side of this molded body 10 and a solubilizing agent 14 (e.g. frit having 300-1,000 deg.C softening temp.) for easily solubilizing the intermediate layer material 12 is applied thereon to obtain a laminated structural body. Then this structural body is heated and both the intermediate layer material 12 and the raw material for foam glass stock are foamed in such a state that melting viscosity of the surface of the intermediate layer material 12 is lowered by action of the solubilizing agent 14.
