Abstract

PURPOSE:To attain emergent calling from a general terminal equipment, by providing an emergent calling channel to a transmission line between a master station and a slave station, allowing a slave station to apply correctness discrimination of an emergent calling request based on the emergent calling destination connection information received from a terminal equipment and giving an emergent calling request to the master station via the emergent calling channel in response to the true emergent calling request. CONSTITUTION:A slave station 4-1 applies correctness discrimination of an emergent calling request based on the emergent calling destination connection information received from a terminal equipment. The emergent calling request is applied to the master station through the emergent calling channel in response to the true emergent calling request. The master station 3 sends emergent calling channel usage permission information to the slave station based on the emergent calling request from the slave station 4-1. Then the information is connected to the emergent calling channel assigned to the subscriber line corresponding to the terminal equipment 6-1 making the emergent calling request among the subscriber lines 1 connected to the exchange 1. Moreover, the slave station, based on the use permission information, connects the said subscriber line to the emergent calling channel allowed for the use. Thus, even when all the calling channels are busy, communication is attained from a general terminal equipment to the specific emergent calling destination decided in advance.
